By completing the 4-day TOGAF® EA – Foundation and Practitioner course with EA Learning, you will benefit from the quantum leap The Open Group has made with TOGAF® Standard, 10th Edition (released October 2022) since Version 9.2 (released in 2018). Much has evolved in business, technology, and general EA practice, and this substantial release crosses the chasm and integrates universal concepts, best practices and thought leadership. The next generation TOGAF® Standard, 10th Edition is your pathway to create value through the discipline of enterprise architecture. In today’s disruptive world, learn how to design an enterprise that is responsive to change, value driven, resilient, and empowers autonomous teams.
Throughout our course, students also work in cohorts on a case study (Learning Studies) to begin to learn how to apply TOGAF® EA concepts in real-world situations. Our presenters, who are themselves highly experienced practitioners, add valuable insights during these exercises and can pass-on their practical wisdom. Upon passing their exams and receiving their TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation and TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Practitioner certifications, our students are eligible to be awarded an Applied TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Practitioner badge Issued by The Open Group.
Our intensive program combines the competencies of TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation with the TOGAF® Enterprise Architect Practitioner. Whilst working towards becoming TOGAF® Standard, 10th Edition certified, this course will provide you with clear guidance on how to develop transformative enterprise architecture.
The TOGAF® standard, 10th Edition is a paradigm shift from 9.2 integrating universal concepts, proven best practices and emerging ideas.
From Monolith to Micro Services:
As part of The Open Group’s evolution ‘from universal to unique’ the one monolithic document 9.2 has become six separate documents known as the Fundamental Content (the universal concepts). Also included are 20 series guides, which will grow over time, for specialist content (best practice) . This speaks to specific types of architecture, for example Applying the TOGAF® ADM using Agile Sprints or Integrating Risk and Security within a TOGAF® Architecture. Finally, the introduction of bodies of knowledge (BOK) for different learning outcomes including Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Specialist, Leader. It is noted that more will follow to enable differing learning pathways.
Easier Adoption:
An online digital standard has been introduced with a much-simplified navigation. This paves the way for easier adoption. As each enterprise is unique, the specialist guidance may or may not apply. For example, you may be undergoing a significant digital transformation but not be using Agile. Use the distinct hierarchy of content that fits with your unique enterprise.
Extended Guidance for Practitioners, Leaders and Specialists:
The companion guides talk to the various roles within Enterprise Architecture. How do I set up an EA Practice? How do I apply Business Architecture? What reference models should I use? What security architecture should I apply? The Whole Enterprise Approach is the sum of its equal parts.
Learning Pathways:
Several learning pathways exist that focus on a group of learners and their respective skills set. Micro credentials can be earned in line with career progression including Foundation, Practitioner, Specialist and other credentials such as Leader, Agile Specialist, Digital Specialist.

Enterprise architecture involves the design and management of IT infrastructures, focusing on the assembly and interaction of various elements to provide a comprehensive view. Organizations often rely on TOGAF-certified architects to align these architectures with business objectives, crucial for supporting large-scale transformations, IT development, and organizational change.
TOGAF stands for The Open Group Architecture Framework. It is a collaboration platform where The Open Group works with technology stakeholders and standard-setting bodies to develop clear standards, establish policies, and disseminate effective practices.
Organizations across all sizes, sectors, and industries benefit from the TOGAF standard, as it helps streamline operations and manage complex business strategies efficiently. While any organization can adopt the TOGAF standard, optimal usage requires a certified architect.
The certification path starts with the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation (Part 1), followed by the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner (Part 2) exam. The TOGAF Business Architecture (BA) exam and credential courses do not require previous exam completions.
TOGAF-certified professionals typically earn between $85,000 and $202,000 annually, according to Payscale. The certification is increasingly valuable as businesses seek to integrate IT infrastructures with business operations globally.
The TOGAF framework boasts a widespread adoption in over 130 countries, with significant certifications occurring in the UK, USA, India, the Netherlands, and Australia. TOGAF-certified architects are in demand worldwide.
TOGAF assists businesses in effectively pursuing enterprise transformation and IT growth. It ensures that IT infrastructures align with business goals and offers resources that minimize the time spent on future project planning.
The TOGAF Foundation (Part 1) exam lasts 60 minutes, includes 40 questions, and is closed-book. Non-native English speakers may receive an extra 30 minutes. The required pass mark is 60%. The TOGAF Practitioner (Part 2) exam involves 90 minutes and eight questions, also with a 60% pass threshold.

Mark is a very knowledgeable instructor and was able to field all questions. He has a great ability to provide analogies for concepts that may be a bit difficult to understand. Great time and really enjoyed.
Neville has strong background in architecture domain and hence providing real world scenarios while explaining the TOGAF concepts and methodology. This is greatly helping students to click on those areas. Overall, this has been a great course presented by highly professional instructor. Couldn’t ask for more!
Neville was great. Patient. You can tell he has years of experience in the field. Went ahead and did additional analysis of the Q&A supplied in the course materials, to give a better understand of the “Why” for some questions.
Neville is great, very well versed not only with theory but the practical aspects and application of the TOGAF framework as well. this shows in the way he is able to very quickly understand the questions and answer them to the point in multiple ways.
Neville is very knowledgeable and obviously had many years as a practicing architect as opposed to someone who was one step ahead in the text book. So could relate personal examples and experience.
Mark is clearly an expert in the field, had a good pace of teaching, with relevant stories to help clarify his message throughout.
Mark was really good at explaining things and providing resources to us. He gave breaks at intervals that made it not feel too overwhelming.
John has extensive knowledge and experience in the area and he was providing really good examples and helpful guides and directions.
Neville was outstanding as a communicator and answered all questions thoroughly
Really fantastic. Highly Knowledgeable. Not just the concepts, but the approach to day-to-day usage of the concepts were discussed effectively. Great instructor.
