Rajiv Dhir

Career Summary

Rajiv is a safe pair of hands with clear insight into IT as a business advantage. He supports his clients in selecting and implementing their systems with this at the forefront. The objective is that his clients get the best value and most appropriate investment for their information systems spend by considering the big picture and optimising the combination of systems and organisational change.

He has worked with clients in Investment Banking, Legal, Technology and Manufacturing sectors.

In a 30+ year career in the IT world, Rajiv has experienced the industry from bottom to top.

Initially working with technology firms, he quickly moved into Investment Banking where he worked with Risk systems and typically middle and back office functions. For the last fifteen years he has been consulting across other sectors and helping build, guide and organise the IS function in various organisations through the use of Enterprise Architecture, and high level modelling.

As a result he is comfortable operating at board level where he can help build understanding between the board and the IS function as to what to expect from each other. Included in his range of expertise is the delicate people function of rebalancing the ‘best-fit’ human resources for the changed environments so as to control the hiatus of a fundamental organisational rebuild.

Rajiv uses the principles and practice of Enterprise Architecture as a fundamental tool to gain control of complex process. Typically this involves organisational planning; working through, for example, TOGAF to help the organisation create and improve a high level architecture. Typical technological aid in this modelling would be tools such as Archi and BizzDesign for consistent outputs in the ArchiMate paradigm.
