Alan has worked in numerous sectors including FMCG, finance, insurance, manufacturing, healthcare, mining, utilities and telecommunications, ensuring that programmes deliver against compliance, governance and regulatory issues in all the continents of the world.
Being used to operating in highly regulated environments, Alan brings a skill in precision and practicality to architecture, governance and business architecture execution.
He is able to grasp significant issues quickly and develop an understanding of how these can be articulated and solved to the organisation’s continued advantage. His MBA thesis forms the basis of the TOGAF® 9 Architecture Governance Standard. Alan is also an experienced COBIT and Applied Business Architecture instructor.
Alan is TOGAF 9.2 (Level 1 & 2) certified and is a TOGAF 9.2 (Level 1 & 2) certified trainer. Alan has a strong academic background with Bachelors of Science and Arts in Psychology related disciplines and a MBA in Strategy and Governance. He has been a strong contributor to the development of various global standards, including TOGAF and COBIT and has trained over 2,000 practitioners around the world in TOGAF alone.
